6G
Leveraging its innovation legacy in the European research arena for more than 30 years, and after successfully concluding a series of advanced research projects in 5G and Beyond, Intracom Telecom has been recently strategically positioned in 6G SNS JU, the EU's initiative for research on 6G networks which aims to foster Europe's technology sovereignty in 6G, being an active member and participating in a number of forefront research and innovation projects. The vision of 6G is to connect human, physical, and digital worlds and to enable next-generation classes of applications such as Extended Reality (XR), Internet of Senses, Cobots and Massive Twinning, through a fabric of key 6G technologies and paradigms, among which are THz communications, AI and Edge Intelligence, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces, Joint Communication and Sensing, Non-Terrestrial Networks, Cloud-Edge-IoT Continuum.
Intracom Telecom's role in these projects, focuses on technologies such as:
- Intelligent management of edge cloud resources and services, extended seamlessly to Far Edge and IoT devices
- AI and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) mechanisms for Native-AI architectures
- Integration of novel 6G Enablers and their exposure to vertical applications in a "Network-as-a-Service" manner
- Baseband processing for RIS-based antennas and photonics-enabled transceivers for THz frequency bands
- Disaggregated X-Haul as MEC hosting platform
Intracom Telecom is a Full Industry Member of the 6G Smart Networks and Services (SNS) Industry Association ( 6G-IA), a Pioneer member of 6G Flagship and a member of one6G.
