5G & Beyond
The fifth generation of cellular networks (5G) provides unprecedented opportunities for consumers and businesses through the introduction of groundbreaking novelties all across the different network levels. This transformative technology standard facilitates the logical tailoring of (potentially multi-stakeholder) Radio Access, Transport, Edge and Core network resources, under virtualization, programmability and granular control schemes, to address diversified performance requirements of vertical use case scenarios in terms of latency, scalability, availability, reliability and energy efficiency. Intracom Telecom has been strategically positioned in all phases of 5G PPP, the EU's flagship initiative for 5G and has participated in fourteen of the forefront research and innovation projects that aimed to place Europe in the vanguard of 5G and beyond network development. Leveraging on its innovation legacy in the European research arena for more than 25 years, its expertise in advanced Telco Software, IoT and Cloud Computing solutions, as well as its innovation and leadership in the advanced wireless transport and ultra-broadband FWA systems, the company has focused its significant technological contributions in areas such as:
