CODECO
Project Overview
CODECO is a Horizon Europe Research and Innovation project with the overarching goal of developing an innovative cognitive framework for Edge-Cloud management, to enhance the seamless and adaptable provisioning of services across the Edge-Cloud continuum. The project will deliver open-source software toolkits optimized for efficient management of widely dispersed environments, comprising diverse networks and incorporating mobile devices with limited resources, to empower the upcoming wave of intelligent services. CODECO will explore various use-cases across diverse sectors, including Smart Cities, Manufacturing, Energy, and Smart Facilities, involving mobile & far Edge devices and tackling IoT-Edge-Cloud continuum orchestration challenges based on a cross-layer approach that envisions data, compute, and network adaptation.
Intracom Telecom Participation
Intracom Telecom will lead the implementation and integration activities throughout the development of the elastic and self-organizing CODECO framework software prototype, both in single- and in multi-cluster environments. In addition, Intracom Telecom will contribute to the Media Delivery Streaming use case demonstrator, adapting its commercial CDN platform (fs|CDN).
