Enhanced Features of WiBAS™ G5 Technology are being Showcased at MWC Barcelona 2025

Athens, Greece – 06 March 2025 - Intracom Telecom, a global technology systems and solutions provider, is unveiling a major upgrade to its WiBAS™ G5 mmWave Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solution in MWC Barcelona 2025. The system now offers 2 Gbps download speeds per subscriber, doubling its current Gigabit capability and delivering even faster, more reliable broadband to homes and multi-dwelling units (MDUs).

The WiBAS™ G5 system, already shipping to customers in Europe and the USA, operates in the mmWave spectrum (24.25-29.50 GHz licensed bands) and features Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO) and Active Antenna System (AAS) with hybrid beamforming technologies. These advancements enable multigigabit speeds at distances up to 9 km, providing carrier grade connectivity, in sub-urban and rural areas while ensuring green operation.

Telecom operators and ISPs can now meet the increasing demand for bandwidth-intensive activities such as streaming, gaming, and remote work, delivering a seamless, high-speed experience to home residents and multi-dwelling unit (MDUs) tenants.
