The adoption of Intracom Telecom's technologies, specifically the WiBAS™ G5 dual-BS radio system, represents a strategic milestone for Sky Telecom. It signifies a pivotal shift from the unlicensed 5 GHz spectrum to the licensed 28 GHz millimeter-wave (mmWave) band. Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology is a game-changer for broadband deployment, enabling rapid and cost-effective network expansion in underserved areas with limited connectivity. The WiBAS™ G5 dual-BS operates in a Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) architecture, serving up to 240 terminals per base station with an extended coverage range exceeding 7 kilometers. This innovation minimizes infrastructure requirements, reducing the number of base stations needed and significantly lowering overall investment costs.
