Athens, Greece – 15 July 2022 -Intracom Telecom, a global telecommunication systems and solutions vendor, announces the distinction of the "Smart Policing" project which was delivered to the Hellenic Police Directorate of the Ministry of Citizen Protection of Greece in September 2021 by Intracom Telecom. The "Smart Policing" project enables faster and more effective access to security information by flying squads on the field.
The project ranked first in the "Best Implemented Idea" category, in the "Security of Citizens" thematic area. The prize was awarded by the General Secretariat of Digital Governance and Process Simplification of the Ministry of Digital Governance in the framework of the annual Digital Governance Competition.
In the competition, 82 proposals in total were submitted from organizations of the public sector and evaluated for their effectiveness, innovation and digitization processes and simplification of administrative procedures according to the directions of the Digital Transformation “Bible”.
It is noted that the "Smart Policing" project, which was implemented by Intracom Telecom following an international tender, was presented by the executives of Hellenic Police to the Prime Minister, during the 85th International Exhibition of Thessaloniki.
