Athens, Greece – 09 March 2021 - Intracom Telecom, a global telecommunication systems and solutions vendor, participates as the coordinator in the REGENCY research program that focuses on improving companies’ energy efficiency. More specifically, the project aims at upgrading the services provided to business consumers, targeting to offer insightful information on their energy profile and consumption behavior, so as to achieve more efficient energy management. The project started in October 2020, with the participation of the Public Power Corporation (PPC), as well as the companies VIS Economic & Energy Consultants and DRAXIS.
In the framework of the project, appropriate models for analyzing large volumes of real-time data, as well as historical energy consumption data, using Machine Learning algorithms will be developed. The collection and analysis of this data, which will be generated by smart electricity meters, will be carried out by an integrated energy management platform. This will facilitate the provision of value-added energy services and energy saving programs, tailored to the specific needs of the different types of corporate consumers that will be selected in the initial phase of the project.
This research project is co‐financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call RESEARCH– CREATE – INNOVATE (project code: Τ2ΕΔΚ-04565).
