UHF Low Capacity Digital Radio Relay Systems
INTRACOM TELECOM has developed two Digital Radio Communication Systems to provide combined transmission/access solutions for voice/data in sparsly populated areas within the 400-470 frequency band: FQUAD and DIGILINK.
FQUAD 450
FQUAD 450 offers an ideal solution for high quality cost-effective telecommunication services in rural areas. FQUAD operates in the 400-470 MHz band and provides four telephone channels plus an asynchronous data channel, or one ISDN Basic Access channel, or four leased lines (4w E&M), or one direct U-line.
Due to its increased sensitivity, the high transmission power and the digital modulation adopted, FQUAD 450 can be used to implement spur links in distances longer than 65 km, preserving the toll quality transmission characteristics up to its threshold. FQUAD Repeaters can also be incorporated to increase network coverage and flexibility.
Typical applications include quick installation of small groups of telephone lines in remote areas, areas with difficult access, direct connection between digital terminals, connection of remote data logging systems to central stations and usage as an emergency system in disaster recovery situations.

DIGILINK 450
DIGILINK 450 refers to a Single Channel Digital Radio System that meets the growing demands for low capacity links. DIGILINK offers a reliable long range solution for both Public Telecom Operators as well as private users, as it can transmit combined voice and data channels in a digital stream of 64 Kb/s. DIGILINK 450 digital radio is extremely spectrally efficient by utilising 16QAM digital modulation.
