Network Management Systems provide the technology that allows telecom operators to use the network resources to their full potential and to integrate them into the Fulfilment - Assurance - Billing processes. Automated FAB processes ensure the excellence in the operator's organization, which is the major component to differentiation in the current competitive environment.

INTRACOM TELECOM, understanding this value of the Network Management Systems, has invested heavily in this area since 1992. Convergence of Information and Telecoms technologies is the basis for success in the dynamic and multifarious environment of Network Management Systems. INTRACOM TELECOM has combined telecom knowledge gathered through the years of development of telecom systems and cooperation with dominant telecom operators as well as through innovative turn key projects together with fresh and modern information technology, thus creating a dynamic Development and Integration group.

INTRACOM TELECOM activities cover the full spectrum of Network Management Systems Development and Integration through turn-key solutions. In the Systems Development area, Element Management Systems are designed and developed for INTRACOM TELECOM family of telecommunications products as well as for third party equipment. In the Systems Integration area, third party Management Systems and platforms are customised and tailored according to customer needs.

This duality of operations allows the adoption of a flexible strategy that embraces international recommendations, "de facto" standards and customer individual needs.

In-house developed Element Management Systems are available for all INTRACOM TELECOM access and transmission products. Management Systems:

• support full FCPS functionality and are aligned to ITU-T standards,
• offer a user-friendly, intuitive, point-and-click Graphical User Interface which hides underlying network complexity,
• provide Northbound interfaces (CORBA, CLI) for integration to OSS/BSS systems,
• are built with state of the art IT technologies to assure robustness, reliability and availability,
• support from small up to very large deployments due to their extremely flexible and scalable distributed architecture
• provide the capability for integration of third-party hardware
