PGMS - Pair Gain Management System
Incumbent telecom operators in developing countries usually face a situation where the already deployed copper network is not capable of serving all the customers. In such cases telecom operators, trying to avoid the costly deployment of additional copper, prefer to use pair-gain systems.
PGMS is the Management System of INTRACOM TELECOM Pair Gain family of products, that offers a centralized view of the deployed pair gain systems and provide complete fault, configuration, performance and security management. It is based, as most of the INTRACOM TELECOM products in this area, on modern object oriented technologies and through its open CORBA interfaces can be easily integrated in the operators integrated management systems
