WiBAS - Radio Frequency Planning

Radio Frequency (RF) planning is a vital procedure during the dimensioning and the implementation of a wireless network. Designing and planning a wireless network is an elaborate process requiring consideration of many different factors to effectively provide a robust, high performance system.

Factors affecting the overall design of a wireless network include:

• The radio characteristics defining the system's range such as the transmitted power, antenna types (sectoral or directional), antenna gain and sensitivity
