I²TV Interactive TV Applications

I²TV is a suite of Digital Interactive TV applications, supporting multiple networks and Set-top box middleware solutions.

I²TV is intended for Interactive TV service providers targeting end-consumers, either in broadcast environments or in closed environments (small communities, hotels).

I²TV includes a number of 24-hour a day, on-demand information services: TV guide, weather forecast, traffic conditions, horoscope, news, lottery results and others. All the user needs is a digital TV Set-top box connected to its TV set and knowledge to operate a simple remote control unit.

I²TV also includes real, two-way interactive (transactional) services: home-banking, TV-commerce, TV-mail, TV-SMS among others. Those services additionally require a return channel for the user interaction (implemented usually with a PSTN modem in the Set-top box).

I²TV operators are offered end-to-end application development and operation support, from specifications and GUI customisation to Set-top box software (for several Set-top box middleware systems), application server, data-base systems and application playout. Multiple languages are supported both in GUI and delivered content.
