In June 2006, JSC SITRONICS (Russia) acquired a 51% stake in INTRACOM TELECOM. JSC SITRONICS is controlled by JSFC SISTEMA, the largest diversified holding company in Russia and CIS. INTRACOM TELECOM is part of SITRONICS Telecom Solutions business division.

INTRACOM HOLDINGS (Greece) retains a 49% stake in INTRACOM TELECOM.

JSC SITRONICS is a leading provider of telecommunication solutions, including software, equipment and systems integration, IT solutions and microelectronic solutions in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States with a strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe and a growing presence in the Middle East and Africa.

SITRONICS serves over 3,500 clients, maintains offices in 32 countries and exports its products and services to more than 60 countries. SITRONICS has over 10,000 employees of whom approximately 4,500 are involved in research and development.

The key Telecom Solutions operations are based in Prague, Czech Republic and Athens, Greece, while the company's IT Solutions and Microelectronic Solutions divisions are based in Kiev, Ukraine and Zelenograd, Russia, respectively.

Founded in 1977, Intracom SA is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1990 and included in the FTSE/ASE-40 LargeCap index. In December 2005 Intracom was transformed to a holding company under the name INTRACOM HOLDINGS, being one of the largest multinational technology groups in South-Eastern Europe. The Group's major participations are: Intracom Telecom (telecommunication systems and solutions), Intracom Defense Electronics (defense electronics systems), Intracom IT Services (IT solutions for the public sector, banking and enterprises), Intrakat (construction, high-tech installations, steel structures, infrastructure maintenance) and hellas online (Internet and voice services provider). Intracom Holdings, as a group, has 5,700 employees, exports to 60 countries and operates subsidiaries in 20 countries.

The systems and products offered by INTRACOM TELECOM address the network and service requirements of incumbent and competitive local exchange carriers operating wireline, wireless, and mobile communications networks. INTRACOM TELECOM focuses on the development of infrastructure and application products that empower operators and service providers to offer new value-added services to their customers, enabling them to produce higher returns and prevail over the continuously growing competition. The systems also cover voice and data transmission requirements over a variety of networks, including those of public administration agencies, public utility companies, private enterprises, and others.

International Operations

INTRACOM TELECOM's products and services reach over 50 countries throughout the world, with a focus on Southeast Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Internationally, INTRACOM TELECOM operates and maintains subsidiaries in 14 countries: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYROM, Libya, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and USA

INTRACOM TELECOM (including its subsidiaries) employs 2,671 professionals, of which 70% are scientific staff. Roughly 38% of the group's personnel works outside Greece. INTRACOM TELECOM is committed to attracting and advancing the top engineering and scientific talent in the region.

Innovation

Technological innovation and R&D are crucial into INTRACOM TELECOM's development strategy. INTRACOM TELECOM maintains a strong commitment to innovation and R&D; total R&D investment amounts to 6-8% of annual revenue. AIT, in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University, offers postgraduate programs in Information Technology and Networking, and participates in international ICT scientific research. In addition, AIT also offers two other academic postgraduate educational programs: MSITT (Master of Science in Information and Telecommunications Technologies) and MBIT (Master of Science in Business, Innovation and Technology). AIT frequently hosts executive education programs offered by Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government to students from Southeast Europe and the Middle East. AIT's mission is to foster and promote scientific excellence, technology innovation, and research inspiration.
